History
The Philippine Nurses Association of New York Incorporated was organized by a handful of civic spirited and visionary nurses from the Philippines in 1929. The purpose was to unite and provide professional guidance to the few Filipino nurses in New York and nearby states like New Jersey and Connecticut. The group was formed while they were residing at the International House in New York. Since the Association's founding in 1929, the Philippine Nurses Association of New York, Inc. has continued to champion the causes of the Filipino nurse. To this day, the Philippine Nurses Association of New York, Inc continues its tradition as the voice for thousands of Filipino nurses in the tri-state area.
PNA-NY, Inc. is a provider of continuing education programs and a 501(C) 3 nonprofit organization. Educational programs are provided as a benefit to membership in the Association.
