Educational Bus Trip to Atlantic City a Success

I would like to thank the Board for their tireless energy and support in making our first Atlantic City Educational Trip a success.
We had a total of 30 participants who walked away as winners!!!

First , each attendee won by learning important legislative updates from Albany. Many thanks to Davy who burned the midnight candle so he can deliver the presentation in CD format.
He even have the time to bake a carrot cake (sliced and individually wrapped).
However, due to glitches, we were not able to show the DVD but Leonie and Emerson stepped up to the plate and did the lecture discussion. We promised them that we will email the presentation.
Vernie, thank you for coordinating the educational portion and ticket distribution

Second, each one is entitled to a $20 card refund from Casino Resort plus $8.00 food coupon. Many thanks to Araceli for bargaining a good package from the Casino and coordinating the bus transportation.
Some were lucky and won from the slots!!! Congratulations!

Third, our ever creative Leonie did a 50/50 raffle and Clem won the prize but generously donated the money back to PNA-NY. Plus each participant returned $10 back to cover the admin costs of the CEU. Some who
won big bucks even returned $20!! Such generosity is truly appreciated. Both Stella and Sue are so diligent in collecting the payments.

Fourth, we celebrated Stella Reiss' birthday and we were entertained by a clarinet musician - many thanks to Ate Ester for bringing them along.Araceli provided a huge cake and we still have leftovers on the way back to New York.

Lastly, the overall feedback and evaluation was overwhelmingly positive. Sue Consolacion's group from Elmhurst promised to sign up for membership.
Many thanks to Nida and Sue for helping distribute the refreshments.

So, for those who were not able to make it, don't worry, we will plan another educational trip so you can experience the camaraderie and bonding that we shared.

Madamo guid nga salamat and try to stay cool for the summer!
