Kalusugan Coalition Community Organization Leadership Award for Philippine Nurses Association of New York, Inc.

The Kalusugan Coalition Inc., has recognized the Philippine Nurses Association of New York, Inc. (PNA-NY, Inc.) for its exemplary service and commitment to the Filipino American community. PNA-NY has been an active participant to the Kalusugan Coalition’s vital health services including health fairs and health education activities in the New York Metropolitan Area. The Coalition is a multidisciplinary collaboration dedicated to creating a unified voice to improve the health of the Filipino American community in the New York/New Jersey area through networking, resource development, educational activities, research, community action, and advocacy.

On October 24, 2009 at the Sheraton Hotel, La Guardia in Flushing, New York, Kalusugan Coalition awarded PNA-NY, Inc. the Community Organization Leadership Award during its 5th anniversary.  The Philippine Nurses Association of New York, Inc represented by executive officers and members joined the celebration with other civic leaders and community organizations who have shown commitment to the Filipino American community.
