Prayer Rally for Sentosa 27 at the Chapel of San Lorenzo Ruiz

Fr. Erno Diaz, chaplain at the Chapel of San Lorenzo Ruiz officiated a special intention mass for the Sentosa 27 Nurses. The special intention is to give these nurses strength, courage and faith as they face the charges filed against them. With the initiative of the Philippine Nurses Association of New York, a prayer rally was kicked off today together with PNA North Carolina. Then, every Sunday thereafter, other chapters of the Philippine Nurses Association of America (PNAA) had volunteered to offer a special intention mass for these courageous nurses who are standing for their rights and seeking justice not only for themselves but also for other foreign educated nurses who are victims of unfair labor practice.

If you happen to know friends and family who may be in the vicinity of these different states, please share the following information so they can participate and show their spiritual support to our kababayans (countrymen):

This page will be updated to include future prayer rally for 2008 that will be sponsored by other PNA Chapters all across the United States. In addition for asking Divine Intervention, a legal defense trust fund had been initiated by the Sentosa Nurses to provide financial assistance towards legal fees. For more information about this initiative, please contact info@pnanewyork.org.

To quote today's 1st reading from Sirach 35:12-14, 16-18- The Lord is a God of Justice, who knows no favorites. Though not unduly partial toward the weak, yet He hears the cry of the oppressed. The Lord is not deaf to the wail of the orphan, nor to the widow when she pours out her complaint. The one who serves God willingly is heard; his petition reaches the heavens. The prayer of the lowly pierces the clouds; it does not rest till it reaches its goal, nor will it withdraw till the Most High responds, judges justly and affirms the right, and the Lord will not delay.

Let us pray that God hears our pleas and petitions for the Sentosa nurses and that justice will prevail.
