Connecting Nurses Together

It is our goal at the Philippine Nurses Association of New York, Inc. to unite all Filipino nurses in New York City and to promote the highest standards of professional quality practice, educational and cultural advancement, and socio-economic stability for our nurses. Our nursing organization upholds the rights and interests of Filipino-American nurses practicing in the United States, within the framework of existing laws and organizational policies.

At the Philippine Nurses Association of New York Inc., we advocate for the rights and interests of our Filipino-American nurses residing in places like New York City. We look at legislation that affects nursing practices while inspecting immigration issues that impact these hardworking nurses. We offer educational programs, as well as community outreach in the Filipino-American community, to make the jobs and lives of these people easier.

We were initially organized by a handful of civic-spirited and visionary nurses from the Philippines in 1929 while residing at the International House in New York. Since the Association's founding, the Philippine Nurses Association of New York, Inc. has continued to champion the causes of Filipino nurses. To this day, we pursue these traditions as the voice for thousands of Filipino registered nurses in the tri-state area.
